This qualification is for you if you are a 16-19 year old learner, who wishes to work as an electrician in the building services industry. It has been designed to deliver a high level of occupational skills and provide a platform from which to progress through further learning or into employment. This vocational route at level 3 is a vital step towards becoming a competent electrician.The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the skills required within the electrotechnical sector. You will cover compulsory aspects such as: working safely and effectively, design, construct, test and commission electrical systems, methods of supervision, electrical science and principles, wiring regulations and law, diagnose and repair electrical faults.

Successful completion of Electrotechnical Level 2 Diploma along with a suitable reference from the course director. GCSE Maths and English are required as per Level 2A mandatory interview is also required.

Externally marked examThe exam is externally set and externally marked, and will be Paper-based only. The exam is designed to assess the candidates depth and breadth of understanding across content in the qualification at the end of the period of learning, using a range of question types and will be sat under invigilated examination conditions.Candidates who fail the exam at the first sitting will have one opportunity to re-sit. If the re-sit is failed the candidate will fail the qualification.S
